Our Story

Reshma and Shyamal met four years ago – they were introduced by friends, and then dinners followed coffees and their relationship grew, with shared interests in food, wine. They travelled together exploring the cuisines and cultures of India and Fiji.

Shyamal offered Reshma a very romantic proposal after going to the Phantom of The Opera. He had lined up a coach ride after dinner which stopped at the Botanic gardens for a walk where he got down on one knee and took out the ring. When they got home they were ambushed by their joyful families who had been waiting in hiding. They celebrated into the night with traditional sweets and Champagne toasts. They arranged to marry fourteen months later in a series of spectacular ceremonies over a number of days.
